ABOUT US
The ILR Women’s Caucus
is an undergraduate organization that aims to empower women both within and outside of our membership by providing personal and professional development opportunities.
Our membership convenes in bi-weekly meetings to expand the conversation about gender issues with a focus on—but not limited to—how they relate to the workplace and our day-to-day lives. Along with hosting meaningful discussions related to gender equality, we hosts guest speakers and engage in philanthropic & advocacy activities.
With emphases on inclusivity and intersectional feminism, we welcome people of all genders, majors, and identities.
CORE VALUES
OPEN DIALOGUE
We value creating and maintaining a safe space for our meetings where everyone is welcome and has a voice. We promote active and respectful listening and engagement with our peers and larger community. We understand and appreciate the value of storytelling, especially from those who experience the world in a different way from ourselves.
PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT
We value new member education and mentorship through resume and skill building workshops, panels, speaker events, and more. We connect our members with one another as well as with professional leaders, and provide networking opportunities to help members advance in both their professional and personal endeavors.
PHILANTHROPY &
ADVOCACY
We value giving back to the Ithaca community through fundraising and volunteer work. We raise awareness for issues through social media and on-campus events. In the past, we have connected with other organizations in the Cornell community to expand our reach, and look for opportunities to work with other clubs.
